Discover recruitment website trends on our new report

A recruitment website can be a great additional tool to your recruitment strategy, allowing you to increase your online presence and brand awareness. Having a well-designed and search engine optimised career website can also be a valuable form of attracting new talent and clients to your business and drive more organic applications to your jobs.

Our new recruitment website trends report looks into how visitors are using recruitment websites and how well those sites are operating. The report also offers a few tips and recommendations for best practise when it comes to recruitment website design.

As part of our investigations, we analysed traffic and web visitor behaviour from selected recruitment websites. We examined website visit trends, including where users are coming from, by tracking the devices and browsers they use. Our research also analysed whether recruitment websites are optimised for Google For Jobs and how quickly they load.

Recruitment Website trends:

  • Recruitment websites receive the most Visits in May, July and October. Whereas users are less active accessing recruitment websites towards the end of the year.
  • Mobile devices are becoming more popular as a tool to access recruitment websites. Mobile traffic increased by 21% in comparison with the previous year.
  • Recruitment website load speeds are far below the average recommendations from Google.
  • Many recruitment agencies currently do not capitalise on the opportunities offered by optimising their websites for Google For Jobs or tracking their performances and goal conversions.

A well-designed and SEO-optimised website requires financial investment, but it is a sound investment to ensure high website performance results. The goal is to drive the right kind of traffic to your website, keep it there, and ultimately convert those visits to applications and eventually solid, successful hires. If your website can reliably do that, plus generally increase brand awareness and a positive brand perception, you know it is a worthwhile investment.
