Promoting your job posts when you publish them is important to getting candidates to apply for your jobs. To help with this your recruitment website integrates with Jetpack which has a suite of useful addon modules. One of these modules is called ‘Publicize’ which will automatically share new job posts on specified social networks whenever they are published. Jetpack supports the following social networks for automated posting: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Reddit, Digg and StumbleUpon. You can also define your own additional custom services if you want to promote your posts on social networks which are otherwise unsupported.

Firstly you need to connect to Jetpack. You will find the link to the Jetpack dashboard in your website admin. When you are in the Jetpack admin you will see the following screen asking you to Connect Jetpack.

When you click the Connect Jetpack button you will be taken to the WordPress website where you will be asked to sign in. If you do not have a WordPress account you can create one by clicking Register which you will find below the login form.

Once you have signed into WordPress you will be asked to approve the connection.

When you have setup the connection you will be asked to choose a plan. The Free Plan is fine for our purposes.

Once you have selected the free plan you will be taken to the Jetpack Dashboard.

We now want to connect the Publicize module. You do this by selecting the settings button at the top of the screen and then the sharing tab. You will then see the Publicize section where it has a link to Connect your social media accounts.

Wen you click the link to connect your social media accounts you will see a page that asks you to connect your social media accounts. You simply click the connect button, sign into your social media account and the connection will be made.

Now that your website is connected to your social media accounts, whenever you publish a new job or blog post, the job or post will automatically be published on your connected social media accounts. With sharing and post publication set up, a great deal of your social media promotion will already be taken care of, and you will be able to start spreading the word about your jobs!
